What the Dino Saw

What does its name mean? – Spine lizard

What did they eat? – Scientists aren’t sure whether it was a hunter like the T-rex or a fish eater. We do know it ate meat.

When did they live? – They lived around 112 to 97 million years ago.

How big were they? – It’s though they could grow to over 12m and up to 18m long.

The video below shows an animated model of a spinosaurus at Canberra’s National Dinosaur Museum.

The fully grown spinosaurus was larger than a T-rex but they weren’t alive at the same time. I wonder what might have happened if a T-Rex and a spinosaurus met?
